Alhaji Isiaka Kehinde's Disquisition on a Leader of Leaders

Deji, let me  join you in a shout out to  Asiwaju, not because of those factors you have heralded, which are also, by no means tenuous, but more for his being a bridge builder, his settled mind, a charioter of change, his never say die spirit, his staying power, bullet proof confidence, political savvy, unflagging zeal to ease the burden of his followers, personal magnetism, promethian spirit, ability to manage  political risk, ability to discover and unlock potentials, amenable to fresh ideas, his generosity without borders, strategic thinking, ability to sustain development legacy of Lagos, ability to shift ground when necessary, flexibility if you like, he can be wily and foxy to palaver the opposition elements. His out of this world stamina to fight several battles and come out unscathed. Where most people see difficulty, he sees plethoras of opportunity.  His ability to discover roles that fits into each person's core competencies. Even a wooly brained Agbero has his own use in Asiwaju empire, Bluntness that is often misconstrued for arrogance, ability to build political empire where several leaders fail.  His guts and the brio to shout down hecklers. His willingness to support women in politics and give them access, his vigour to pummel opposition leaders into a corner and show them he is defacto a superior figure. Most importantly, love or hate him, jagaban is a leader of leaders. Apart from IBB boys in history, the Asiwaju boys come close. Mind you, all these so called boys are leaders in their own domain. Wishing omo olodo ide, many happy returns.

Celebrating Mr Ethics Isiaka Kehinde - A Rare Breed of High Intelligentsia

Many Happy Birthday wishes to Alhaji Kehinde Adeniyi Isiaka - a man of high ethical value. I've come across very few men whose reputation always precedes everything they encounter in life, their value is always prominent in their engagements. It doesn't drive you financially forward much though, it however takes you to your destination at a snail's pace. But a good name, they say, is better than gold and silver.

His immense contribution to ethical reorientation in Oyo State as a case study ought to have been widely accepted and advanced by the society but it is the direct opposite, rather, it is undervalued and underappreciated. In his personal capacity he produces and donates free to the public - a quarterly edition of 'The Ethics Magazine' which helps to enlighten the youth and society at large the rare benefits of Integrity and Ethics in the society. He preaches the ethical gospel in social gatherings, seminars and in schools. He has contributed even more.

Nigeria is at the point of ethical dearth and ethical reorientation needs to be placed at the forefront of our daily activities: in secondary schools, tertiary institutions, private enterprise, firms, government parastatals and so on. Like I once said somewhere that 'In saner climes, he'd be a top renowned national figure for his immense capacity and invaluable vast ability in human ethics, mentorship, value orientation, capacity building etc' but we have a situation that is akin to death of moral value, immorality is the new benchmark for the youths and people now feed off social vices more than ever.

The government should introduce ethics into governance, say Ethics department in government, like they do operate in the advanced worlds, the US, the UK and many more. It will go a long way to bring a rebirth in the ethical standards of our state and country at large. Ethical revolution is one of the many points in helping to promote standards, integrity and sound consciousness in our teeming youths so as to build a better future and serene living environment for the citizenry.

Here's Deeduke Media wishing this already great man a prosperous birthday celebration. A true Quinquagenarian who deserves a grip at the helm of affairs in one of our parastatals in the nearest future.

A true rare breed of high intelligentsia - Isiaka Adeniyi Kehinde.

The APC governorship candidate at the just concluded election in Oyo State, Oloye Bayo Adelabu Penkelemesi yesterday hosted his foundation groups, cordinators and party faithfuls at his Foundation House, Bayo Adelabu Foundation (BAF) HEP center in Jericho where he congratulated and appreciated their immense contributions at the just concluded elections.

I Never Blamed Party Leaders for the APC Loss at the Poll - Adelabu

The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Saturday, March 9, 2019 election in Oyo State has expressed his deep appreciation to all leaders and members of the party who worked tirelessly for his electioneering campaign.

Adelabu expressed this while responding to an online news medium, SaharaReporters which alleged that he blamed the party's leadership for his failure.

According to a statement by his spokesperson, Dr. Bayo Busari, the allusion that he engaged a personal assistant to the governor of Oyo State, Dayo Iyaniwura in a fistcuff was far from the truth.

"How can I fight with the governor's PA who was dedicated to my aspiration from beginning to the end and I knew everyone worked for me and the party during the campaigns?" Adelabu queried.

"Dayo is my brother and I don't have issue with him nor with the leadership of the party," he reiterated.

He expressed his appreciation to Governor Abiola Ajimobi, the chairman of APC in Oyo State, Chief Akin Oke and the entire party leadership, saying without them he couldn't have recorded the feat he achieved in the election.

He also commended all the aspirants who stepped down for him during the party's primary and for standing by the party to ensure that the party remained united during the elections.

IBADAN YOUTH COUNCIL (IYC) Endorses Adelabu, Says Seyi Makinde's Origin is Ilesha

The umbrella body of the all Ibadan Youths Indigenes Associations, Ibadan Youth Council (IYC), has endorsed the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Oloye Bayo Adelabu as the next Governor of Oyo State.

In a statement released and signed by the President of the Council Hon Alabi Sulaimon on Thursday, the council made it clear that having critically examined the profile of all the candidates in the state, Adelabu is found to be the best who can paddle the affairs of the state effectively and efficiently.

"We have critically juxtaposed and analysed the profile of the two leading candidates and we found Adelabu to be the best having considered his vast experiences in both the private and public sectors, educational attainment, commitment to the development of Oyo state and many more"

The council also noted that Engr Seyi Makinde's indigeneship is equivocal as many groups have recently alleged the PDP candidate of being an indigene of Erinmo Ilesha and which he (Makinde) has not debunked at any point in time. The council therefore urged all indigenes and residents of Ibadan and Oyo state as a whole to cast their votes for Oloye Bayo Adelabu for the progress of Oyo State.

Clarion Call for Ona-Ara LG to Vote Abidemi Sanusi Ola-Iya for House of Assembly

There is no gainsaying that, my beloved Ona-Ara LG have suffered from bad representation in the past, it has suffered from bad leadership and poor structure. The 'Ojelus' have grown a pot belly from the excessive milking of our resources and their abundant but bereaved ideas of transforming our untapped resources to common wealth. What a shame. They ought to cover their faces in shame, yet they walk head tall like victors and conquerors in World Wars.

It must be pointed out however, that we have had little representatives in the past who have stood tall against the usual occultic oppression and have done immensely well for the people. This is the favorable trend that can help bring and uphold a lasting legacy for Ona-Ara LG in Ibadan.

Hon. Abidemi Sanusi Ola-Iya, the All Progressives Candidate in Ona-Ara LG, is a man who have excelled in all ramification of my screening exercise conducted. Here is a prudent and honest man, who definitely knows his onions, not the usual empty headed leaders who have absolutely nothing to share in terms of value and prospect. A renowned public speaker and CEO of Sustainable African Waste Initiative (SAWI) which has gone a long way to impact positively on the environment and society at large. This initiative in itself, can add multiple value to Ona-Ara LG, as it can provide basic knowledge and employment for the teeming youths, yet set us on a pedestal for cleanliness, healthy environment and waste recycling which amounts to wealth in the new age system.

With Abidemi Sanusi as our representative in the State House of Assembly, quality representation will not befall us and with more youthful participation in politics, we can begin to see the gradual growth Ona-Ara LG long deserved. The world is moving digital, let us all work together to get Ona-Ara working in the right direction for greatness.

Let's troop out and vote for the All Progressives Party (APC) with Hon. Abidemi Sanusi Ola-Iya, for the State House of Assembly and Bayo Adelabu Penkelemesi as Governor of Oyo State. ...Aye ti yi pada s'Ona-Ara, Ona-Ara lawa yii o eee

100 Reasons Why My Vote is for Bayo Adelabu Penkelemesi - Part 3

Every next level of your life demands a different you. Albert Einstein.

It bears repeating here that success can only occur when talents meet opportunity  That's why it's incumbent on the electors to open the Vista of opportunity through their votes to only the best amongst the candidates vying for the governor's exalted seat, they should vote the most eminently qualified, not the second best. Now so many people are saying, Oloye Adelabu Adebayo has a gold plated mind to develop Oyo state. But good mind is not enough until it is well applied. Each thought values only when put into action. Adelabu Adebayo Penkelemesi is no doubt the best in the pack. He is that Platinum that's worth more than the Gold. Let's give him a chance to prove his mettle. Today we shall continue in earnest the series on a hundred strong factors that markedly make Penkelemesi different from others. Happy Sunday.

51. Adelabu Adebayo Penkelemesi has a settled mind. A stable mind that can't be controlled or unsettled at will.

52. Possesses a winning attitude which John Maxwell says is "key to personal success".

53. Plan towards ensuring environmental sustainability and recovering the loss of environmental resources.

54. His thematic focus as contained in his 7  points policy areas for good governance is radically different from others.

55. His quest for quality education is second to none. He says 'the only panacea to curing ignorance is sound education". He has therefore developed a policy paper which is clearly a bellwether for  the attainment of sound education in Oyo state in line with the global best practices.

56. He has unequalled savvy for judicious capital accumulation for economic development.

57. He is a peace lover who walks to the enthronement of peace in every facet of  the society. Peaceful, Thomas Hobbes, say are the strong.

58. He keeps a large heart and forgives easily.

60. He flaunts unblemished record of service.

62. He is both physically and mentally fit as a fiddle. He works round the clock.

63. He is an advocate of social justice and social efficiency.

64. Flexibility. He shares in the philosophy  that reality itself is relative to a scheme -what counts as real in one system may not in order, hence, he is amenable to change, not rigid.

65. On a mission to extend the legacy of his forebears.

66. He rewards hardwork and encourages loyalty

67. He pays his staff duly and promptly, has a clean record of not owing any of his staffers even a month salary in the last two decades of engaging over six hundred people in his private business enterprises.

67. Care for the less privileged. Has a foundation that focusses on and frontally addresses the issues affecting the less fortunate members of the society.

68. Highly computer literate and adaptive to the digitalsed governance system.

69. He believes in God.

70. He has mapped out strategic plans to boost food sufficency, tackle food insecurity  in the state and make Agric a major employer of the active labour force when he assumes office.

71. Sets to address the perennial poor quality housing in the state and it's attendant problems of blighted structures that have become eyesores in most low income neighborhood.

72. Adelabu Adebayo Penkelemesi does not brook indolence and will never promote politics of clientielism.

73. Never abandon values. His favourite quote is "He who abandons values ceases to be a man.

74. He knows Oyo state inside out and has developed an all encompassing policy thrust that will leave no segment untouched.

75. He is a tenor in the quartet.

Last line
"Civil  governance ought to be in the hands of a wise man and that if it's left in the hands of the wicked, the common good will suffer" Plato

Vote wisely and make the smooth ride to the next level of abundance a possibility in Oyo state. Vote for Oloye Adelabu Adebayo Penkelemesi.

100 Reasons Why My Vote is for Bayo Adelabu Penkelemesi - Part 2

... comparing Adelabu Penkelemesi with other Gubernatorial candidates of other parties in Oyo state is like putting fire beside frost. After my last piece on this same subject, I got a call from a quiet reader, a type that reads and digests  all posts but rarely passing any comment. I call them "Waka pass readers".  The guy said 'with the little I have read about Bayo Adelabu, I can boldly say, he is incomparable with others. Whoever argues that must be a "Pyrrho". Out of sincere inquisitiveness, I asked the caller, what or who a Pyrrho is? He enlightened me that "Pyrrho is a character discovered by Epictetus who was fond of saying there is no difference between dying and living and when a man asked him, why then do you choose to live? He replied, "because there is no difference". He concluded by saying, "Kenny, please, I can't wait for part 2 of your unbiased analysis, whoever says there is no difference between Oloye Adelabu Adebayo and the rest, doesn't know what a difference is". Really, I was having a totally different topic to write on today, but for this bloke, I will continue with the 100 reasons why I will vote Oloye Adelabu Adebayo Penkelemesi as the next governor of Oyo state. To the quiesent caller who will not for all the world want to see his name put in a public space and other silent majority that equally admire the qualitative uniqueness of the Penkelemesi, I dedicate today's edition. God bless Oyo state.

.........
26. Nobility of birth. Oloye Adelabu Adebayo is one who fanatically Cherishes  his family name. He once said, "l will never attempt anything that would put my family exalted name in disrepute". He considers Penkelemesi as a special glass ceiling, a kind of virtue, under which he stands, he will rather live to protect than smash it.

27. Corporate Experience. He towers above equals in corporate experience which he garnered over the past nearly thirty years and equipped him with cutting edge strategies that good governance requires.

28.  Academic Laurel. That Adelabu bagged a first class is no longer hidden to the public. It needs be added that throughout his primary and post primary education, he never for once, came second in his class. He believes that true honour can not be attained through specious dignities.

29. Achievable policy thrust. Adelabu did not just bore his audience with vague and unrealistic expectations. He comes with a template of a 7 point realizable goals, a firm pillar on which his manifestoes rests.

30. Continuity. Adelabu Adebayo Penkelemesi call himself the 'acelerator". He has identified some solid foundation laid by the present administration and will not abandon, but build on them. This he called incremental development.

31. Ability to spark hope and reward excellence. He is trained to avoid administrative peels, identify conduit pipes through which state funds can be siphoned by some greedy people and pluck the leakages. He can easily crack the codes to save the state's resources from the "administrative pilferers".

32. Courage. He is a man with lots of  spunk, he believes with courage, no defeats.

33. Fairness to all. He was quoted in a radio interview, saying 'I tend to reinvent the social system in a way that will favour both dorminant and disadvantaged groups".

34. Boosting IGR. He has the solution to the dwindling state IGR like a stat in his palm. He has been mentioning on air some focal areas through which IGR can be jerked forward in Oyo state, he will, given the mandate, walk the talk.

35. Strategic thinking. He does not live a space in every faculties inside his brains. He fits into what Karl Jasper calls "pressing beyond everything objective".

36. A reform moulded technocrat. He is an astute professional in politics, not a professional politician.

37. People first. He believes in striking alliance with his people. He says 'if you and your people don't have a common agenda, the alliance is doomed".

38. Civility. I once put in perspective that Oloye Adelabu Adebayo is civil, but never obsequious. Humble without eating an  humble pie.

39. Traceable source of income. He is not a 'magic millionaire", with stinking past. He rose through the ladder of success that follows what philosophers call "Ancient triangular principle of success, - Birth, Association and Hardwork.

40.Simplicity  Doesn't dress to kill. Simple but never frumpy.

41.Oloye Adelabu Adebayo is an incurable optimist who shares Disney Waltz principle that "anything you can dream of, you can have it".

42. As a financial experts, he believes in financial prudence. Will surely discourage financial recklessness.

43. He is not "a one hit wonder man". He has proven that he is not only intelligent by scoring higher grades, it has robbed off on the society through his exploits in the banking sector.

43. Personal Magnetism.

44. I can say it loud and clear Oloye Adelabu Adebayo is a book voracious. He reads to lead.

45.Penkelemesi of our time doesn't have arrogance of intellect. Like Socrates, he always say that 'in respect of wisdom, his is really falling behind others "

46.Resents political prebendalism.

47.Oloye Adelabu Adebayo has no ears for hearsay. He is like a Craftsman with no time for rumour mongers.

48.Open minded.

49. Self development. Till his campaign started, Adelabu Adebayo was still attending international conferences and workshops to broaden his capacity.

50. He is, to quote Whittler 's law ,"the man who is in charge".

A vote for Adelabu Adebayo Penkelemesi, is a vote for Progress that will guarantee a brighter future. Keep a date with him on 9th of March for a smooth ride to the Next Level in Oyo state.

Part 3and 4 loading.

100 Reasons Why My Vote is for Bayo Adelabu Penkelemesi - Part 1

"If you can not trust what you see with the naked eyes, why should you trust what you see only through a microscope?" - Russell.

Oloye Bayo Adelabu is unrepeatable. He qualifies to be a polyglot. In fact, he is. No  exaggeration meant. I can view him clearly with my naked eyes and need no microscope to enlarge the resulting merits of his talents. Talent is but one half of art, applying it well makes it full. Oloye Bayo Adelabu engages his talents full blast and maximizes every moment. *Esse est percipi* (to be is to be perceived) says George Beckley,  I have a close up view of him, hence, I can recommend him, without any equivocation, for the number one seat in Oyo state. I don't just want to sell him like a pig in a poke, I have one hundred reasons why I tip him to be the next governor of our dear state. I will break this piece into four series for clarity and smooth reading purpose to repay study.

1. The clear vision. He is imbued with vision and the ability to build a consensus to achieve that vision. His vision is to propel Oyo state to grow with the world. That's the idea behind his Next level campaign monica.

2. He is not a relativist. He does not flow with the tide. He base his decision on his mind compass. He lives life on his own term. Never a  pawn in anyone's chessboard.

3. A fast thinker with ability to analyse all knowledge.

4. He can withstand all weather. He has a staying power that is beyond a lazy man's  imagination.

5. He is a leader with Foresight - Ability to recognize problems and fix them. Check his records in First Bank.

6. He has a bullet proof confidence, sees possibilities in all difficulties and never sees any problem as insurmountable.

7. He is Frank to a fault. He speaks to people's mind, rather than tailoring his rhetoric to their mood. He doesn't make emotions soar and burn with empty hope. If it's not within his reach, he doesn't overreach himself.

8. He is a stickler to the truth. He calls a spade it's name, not just a farm tool.

9. Has ability to transfer skills. He accentuated this in his tenure in CBN.

10. He has the nous to convince people of the soundness of his philosophy without any air of arrogance.

Alao Akala and the Dilemma of a Gadfly

"The worst sorrow is the remembrance of one's lost joys"

To any good political observer, dumping his own governorship ambition and deciding to join the Penkelemesi moving train is the wisest decision any rational leader could have taken in the present circumstances that our own Otunba Christopher Alao Akala found himself.

Power is a deceitful bride. And at the point power which makes a leader happy, if caution is not excercised, there, the imotence which makes them miserable begins. To put it straight, Otunba Akala is that wise political general who does not advance when it's time to beat a retreat. He does not race against the tide. He said with a sense of pride that his decision to support Oloye Adebayo Adelabu is for common good. I agree no less. Leadership is not what you want sometimes, it's what you must. When a leader chooses for himself, he chooses for others. As Boethius says "power, fame and fortune are inadequate and disappointing, only useful towards the attainment of the supreme good, not as ends in themselves".

Alao Akala in an obviously enthusiastic mood, narrated to his people how he was flown to Abuja on a chattered flight and how lucky he is to have been so  considered amongst the political mighties in Oyo State for such honour. He told them how the tour afforded him the opportunity to place the issue of ownership of Ladoke Akintola University, their University, in the front burner during the discussion and  explicated how he never forgot to mention to the powers that be to take immediate action on the repair of the dilapidated Oyo-Ogbomosho road among other bargaining chips. Lo and behold, he did not go to gabble away his personal problems to bore his hosts, but primarily went to the negotiation table to advance common interest of all, particularly, his own immediate constituents.

For crying out loud, the right of political association and to choose who to work with is a non tresspassable right as enshrined in the 1948 UN declaraion of Human rights. Yet, Akala, as a leader of leaders, knows that his own right is intertwined with that of his teeming supporters. He put them into consideration and took the step he thought best for them. But, sadly, we are in a political situation in Oyo state where many people want to push their leaders to a desperate solution to advance their personal or group's interest. A situation aptly described by Frederick Douglas as "where ignorance prevails".

That the ex-Governor Akala lives his life by his own terms is too obvious for a new emphasis. Also  incontrovertible is his uncanny love of his people. Giving any opportunity, Otunba Akala will fight for his people. To him, Ogbomosho axis is the political capital of the world. I can say with absolute sense that he is an agile leader who in today's world beat the competition. It would amount to a reverse logic for anyone to expect the Otun of the source to backstep when he has already taken the morally and politically right step. It will be a losing proposition.

Those who are whining and railing today that Akala is a self centered leader forgets in a hurry that Akala would not take any action inimical to the interest of the majority. Obviously, those minority spewing gibberish on social media are truly the self opinionated ones.

To cap it all, Otunba Akala promised not to leave his "political boys" in the lurch. He offered them an olive branch in his giving absolute support to all those vying for the state Assembly position under ADP and adjured them to remain in ADP until their mission is accomplished. What else do you want him to do? Akala is not a rogue elephant in Oyo politics, only a stupe will join any plot to dislodge him.

It goes beyond petty argument that Otunba Akala will be in upbeat mood now that he is on  a political rebound. He must have that innermost satisfaction that he is a people's champion who is being sought, where others seek. I heard Governor Kayode Fayemi visited him today, cheery news, for thinking aloud, how many governor of ADP paid him a visit last? It's presumptuous to think that a leader in a fringe political party will attract a huge dividend for his people.

Looking at it from another angle, Otunba Akala's firm and spot on decision to support Oloye Adebayo Adelabu Penkelemesi is more divine than fortuitous. Penkelemesi mandate is is divinely blessed. When God works for you, every creature will rise up in your favour. Those who delay or dally will be put in total shame. As we say in Penkele movement, 'Ileri Oluwa n lati se'. The next level is guaranteed. It's beyond the reach of the mortal to alter. March 9th is it, Adelabu Adebayo is the answer.
