Jay Z Becomes The First Rapper To Be Inducted Into The Songwriters Hall of Fame

Jay Z has made history by becoming the very first rapper ever chosen to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. By breaking this record, Jay Z has given other rappers hope of someday becoming inductees.

The Songwriters Hall announced on Wednesday Feb. 22nd that Jay Z will be inducted into the Hall at the organization’s 48th Annual Induction and Awards Dinner will take place on June 15 in New York.

Other songwriters who will be inducted include; Kenneth ‘Babyface’ Edmonds, Max Martin, songwriting-production duo Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Gordy, and members of the band Chicago Robert Lamm, James Pankow and Peter Cetera. Joining the Hall of Fame is a great honour, one given only to artists who are considered to have “enriched the world’s culture”, with people like Michael Jackson, Dolly Parton, Bob Dylan and Marvin Gaye previously making it into the Hall.

Only five songwriters, or songwriting groups, are inducted each year, so it is understandable that Jay Z is excited about this honour.

The entertainment mogul took to his Twitter account to share the good news. He wrote: “By the way, this is a win for US. I remember when rap was said to be a fad . We are now alongside some of the greatest writers in history.”

Millions Of Lives Are At Risk In West Africa's Lake Chad Basin

Aid agencies today warned that lives are at risk unless there is a substantial increase in funds to help over seven million people facing hunger in Nigeria, Niger, Chad and Cameroon.

The warning from Oxfam and the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) comes as the UN, governments and donors meet in Oslo, Norway to pledge funds to tackle the crisis that wracks an area known as the Lake Chad Basin. The UN has appealed for $1.5 billion to meet the emergency needs in 2017. Last year’s appeal was only 52 per cent funded.

According to Pauline Ballaman, who happens to be Oxfam’s head of operations in the Lake Chad Basin area, said: “The risk of famine is real in parts of northern Nigeria. Millions of people have been pushed to the brink after years of conflict. Unable to grow or buy food, or get the help they desperately need, many have died.

"Aid has managed to make some people's lives better - but without urgent funding and access to areas where people are cut off from aid, we could see levels of hunger and malnutrition deteriorate further and many more lives lost."

Oxfam also reported that over the last four years the conflict with Boko Haram has intensified and spread from North East Nigeria across the border into Niger, Chad and Cameroon.  Over 2.6 million people – of which 1.5 million are children – have fled their homes in search of safety and nearly 11 million people are in need of emergency aid.  In Borno State in northeast Nigeria, at least 400,000 people could be living in famine-like conditions.

Nigerian government forces have recaptured territory from Boko Haram and previously cut off areas are now more accessible revealing huge levels of suffering. But the security situation remains fragile and violence continues to make it difficult for Oxfam and other agencies to get help to all the people who need it.  Some areas remain completely inaccessible to humanitarian organizations because of ongoing military operations or because they are still under the control of Boko Haram

Meanwhile the government has announced it intends to close all camps hosting displaced people by May 2017. Many of them are already returning to areas still surrounded by fighting. Some find their home villages are still too dangerous, leaving them to seek shelter in nearby towns where there is often widespread destruction and few services or assistance available.

Cheick Ba, Country Director for NRC Nigeria, said: “We are seeing convoys of displaced people being moved back into towns the government recently reclaimed, even as fresh violence in the surrounding areas forces more people to flee. People tell us they want to go home, but only when it’s safe. We need to hear real commitment from the authorities that no one will be encouraged to go home until there is lasting security and basic services have been restored.”

People continue to experience horrific levels of human rights abuses and threats including sexual violence, abductions, killings, torture, forced recruitment, forced disappearance and arbitrary detention. In North East Nigeria, nearly one in three women report having experienced sexual violence.

Military and political objectives in the fight against Boko Haram have trumped humanitarian concerns. Collectively, governments, humanitarian organizations, and donors were slow to respond to this crisis. A large humanitarian operation is now underway and many lives have been saved. But without a massive injection of aid many lives could be lost.

Ehlena and Dog Named Wonder Win At A U.S. Supreme Court

In the U.S., a Supreme Court on Wednesday sided with a disabled Michigan girl whose school refused to let her bring her service dog to class, making it easier for students like her to seek redress for discrimination in federal court.

Reports coming in from REUTERS confirms that justices ruled 8-0 that Ehlena Fry, 13, and her parents may not be obligated to go through time-consuming administrative appeals with the local school board before suing for damages for the emotional distress she said she suffered by being denied the assistance of her dog, a goldendoodle named Wonder.

Ehlena was born with cerebral palsy, a neurological condition that severely limited her mobility. Wonder was trained to help her balance, retrieve dropped items, open and close doors, turn on lights, take off her coat and other tasks.

"I saw with my own eyes how Wonder helped my daughter grow more self-reliant and confident," Stacy Fry, Ehlena's mother, said in a statement. "We are thankful that the Supreme Court has clarified that schools cannot treat children with disabilities differently or stand in the way of their desired independence."

The justices sent the case back to a lower appeals court to determine whether Ehlena's complaint involves the impermissible denial of a proper special education.

Nigerians In South Africa Living In Fear After Another Attack

According to ALJAZEERA, Some members of Nigeria's community in South Africa have raised concerns over renewed anti-immigrant violence, appealing to authorities to intervene before the situation gets out of control.

Nigeria's presidency on Monday called the South African government to step in to stop what it said were "xenophobic attacks" following recent reports of violence against Nigerians and other nationals in the capital, Pretoria.

The Nigerian Union in South Africa (NUSA) on Tuesday confirmed that Nigerian homes and businesses in Pretoria West had been attacked in several late-night incidents in recent days.

ALJAZEERA went further to report that "Homes and shops of Nigerians were targeted and looted in the events of past few days," Emeka Ezinteje Collins, national public relations officer of NUSA, confirmed, citing at least 10 such attacks.

He added: "Our people and other foreigners are apparently living in fear of the unknown as the hoodlums have promised" more attacks from Friday, when a group called the "Mamelodi concerned residents" is reportedly planning to hold a march against foreign nationals.

NUSA also said that some of its members had received threatening phone calls asking for payment to protect their houses and businesses.

"We have also received reports from our members of receiving threatening anonymous calls requesting that money be paid to avert destruction of their properties," Collins said.

"We implore the South African and Nigerian authorities to intervene early and save the situation before it spills out of hand."

In another report, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Nigerian president's advisor on foreign affairs and the diaspora, said on Monday the South African government must take "decisive and definitive measures to protect Nigerians and other African nationals" within its borders.

She also called on the African Union to weigh in on the violence, adding: "Further attacks without any reprimand may have dire consequences".

Dabiri-Erewa said there was a need for the continental body to "intervene urgently", claiming that in the last two years "about 116" Nigerians had been killed, including 20 last year.

"This is unacceptable to the people and government of Nigeria."

There was no independent verification of the claimed number of deaths.

According to NUSA, there are about 800,000 Nigerians in South Africa, many of them living in Johannesburg.

The community was hit badly by the wave of xenophobic violence that hit the country in April 2015 but South African police said only seven Nigerians died.

An independent watchdog has said 640 people died from police brutality or in custody in South Africa.

In April 2015, Nigeria recalled its top diplomat in South Africa to discuss the anti-immigrant attacks that sent hundreds of foreigners fleeing to safety camps, as authorities sent in soldiers to quell unrest in Johannesburg and Durban.

Buhari Gave Justice Ademola N500K In His Certificate Lawsuit

Embattled Justice Adeniyi Ademola allegedly got N500,000 from President Muhammadu Buhari during a lawsuit on his certificate controversy.

According to PREMIUM TIMES,
Some persons had filed a suit challenging Mr. Buhari’s candidacy prior to the 2015 elections, alleging the president had no secondary school certificate as required by law.

A witness in court said the money was given through Mr. Buhari’s former lawyer, Kola Awodeyin. The witness, however, said he does not consider the money a bribe.

Justice Ademola alongside his wife, Olubowale, and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Joe Agi are currently being prosecuted by the Nigerian government for alleged corruption.

However, government charges are more like persecution because of Justice Ademola refusal to dance to the tune of Buhari’s wish to continue to incarcerate Dasuki, Kanu Nnamdi, Zakzaky and others, which the Buhari government continue to violate laws by still keeping them in detention against court ruling.

Donald Trump Names A US General As Top Security Adviser

U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday named Lieutenant General Herbert Raymond McMaster as his new national security adviser, choosing a military officer known for speaking his mind and challenging his superiors.
McMaster is a highly regarded military tactician and strategic thinker, but his selection surprised some observers who wondered how the officer, whose Army career stalled at times for his questioning of authority, would deal with a White House that has not welcomed criticism.
"He is highly respected by everybody in the military and we're very honored to have him," Trump told reporters in West Palm Beach where he spent the weekend. "He's a man of tremendous talent and tremendous experience."

Uniabuja students Storms Air-Port Road To Protest Over The Death Of A Female Student

Yesterday night, a driver knocked down a UniAbuja female student while she was trying to escape from armed robbers nest.
Reports reaching us reveals that the driver who knocked down the student to death is a lecturer of the University of Abuja, and was driving one way when the unfortunate scene happened.

Students blames the school authority and the federal government, for not providing close by pedestrian bridges, to hinder such accident.

Pastor Adeboye: I Was Richer Than RCCG As A Lecturer

During a ministry at a three-day special programme to end the church’s 40-day fasting and prayer period at the Redemption Camp, Kilometre 46, Lagos Ibadan Expressway, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye said the ministry was not financially buoyant before he came on board.

His words:

“When God called me into full time ministry, I must tell you the truth, I was afraid because things were rough. I knew poverty when I was young but I became a university teacher with the belief that my days of poverty were gone. “When God asked me to leave my job to become a full-time pastor, the total income of the church was less than my salary and we were to share it among some 39 people.

‘’I was really afraid but God gave me one promise. He said do not worry my son, I will be with you.
If you are wondering why my case is different, it is because God told me that He will be with me and He has been faithful to His promise.”

10 Most Corrupt Countries In The World Ranked By Perception

According to the USNews reports, Nigeria the most populated country in Africa is perceived to be the most corrupt country among the 60 countries evaluated according to data from 2016 Best Countries ranking.

The ranking are a characterization of 60 countries based on a survey of more than 1600 people from four regions.
In the survey, respondent answered how closely they related each of the 60 countries to the term "corrupt". Respondents were given no further specification of the term, so interpretation of the word "corrupt" was left to survey respondents.

Elections in Nigeria face scrutiny, even though government accountability is seen as having improved. In 2015, President Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari became the first opposition party candidate to win an election. As part of his presidential campaign, Buhari promised to crack down on corruption.

"When you fight corruption, it fights back," Nuhu Ribadu, the former chairman of Nigeria's Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, said in a TedX talk in Berlin.
Nigeria's former national security adviser, Sambo Dasuki, is scheduled to face trial on charges of fraud and money laundering, according to Bloomberg.

It is the country's first high-profile corruption trial since Buhari took office.
In November, Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari attributed this incident – and other alleged abuses of power– to the country's inability to defend itself from other threats, including Boko Haram, an extremist group that began its conquest in 2009 to create an Islamic state.

Russia, seen as the second most powerful country in the world, is also seen as the sixth most corrupt.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, Colombia– a country synonymous with illegal drug kingpins like Pablo Escobar – gives Nigeria a run for its money as the second most corrupt country, based on perception.

Below are the 10 countries perceived to be the most corrupt, according to data from the 2016 Best Countries rankings.

Islamic State Groomed Child Soldiers in Mosul, Iraq

A recent report was made public by REUTERS that the Islamic States in Iraq in the past had some education centers of sort, where some kidnapped children were trained to build a network of child informers and fighters used by the jihadists to support their military operations.

This is coming from REUTERS and information from a worker at the former orphanage where they were housed, reveals that children ranging from age 3 to 16 and predominantly Shi'ite Muslims or minority Yazidis begin to refer to their families as apostates after they have been schooled in Sunni Islam by the militant fighter.

They are believed to have many training sites across the city of Mosul in Iraq, where the young boys are trained to absorb the group's ultra-hardline ideology.

According to Reuters, "Islamic State withdrew before Iraqi forces launched a U.S.-backed offensive in October to retake the city, but during a Reuters visit last month there were still reminders of the group's attempt to brainwash dozens of children."

"A saying attributed to the Prophet Mohammed is painted in black on one wall, urging children to learn to swim, shoot and ride horses. Inside the building is a swimming pool, now dry and full of rubbish."

"In another room sits a stack of textbooks Islamic State had amended to fit its brutal ethos.

Arithmetic problems in a fourth grade maths book use imagery of warfare, while the cover bears a rifle made up of equations. History books focus exclusively on the early years of Islam and emphasize martial events."

Another textbook entitled "English for the Islamic State" includes ordinary words like apple and ant beside army, bomb and sniper. Martyr, spy and mortar also appear alongside zebra crossing, yawn, and X-box.

"The word "woman" is depicted by a formless black figure wearing the full niqab covering. All faces in the books - even those of animals - are blurred, in keeping with an Islamic proscription against such images."

The orphanage worker, who was cowed into staying on after the militants took over in 2014, said girls who were brought to the center were often married off to the group's commanders.

The man asked not to be named for fear of reprisals by Islamic State, which still controls the entire western half of Mosul. He was shot in the leg during recent clashes.

He said the militants, mostly Iraqis, taught the Shi'ite children how to pray in the tradition of Sunni Islam and forced the Yazidis to convert.

They memorized the Koran, were taught to treat outsiders as infidels and conducted physical exercise in the yard, which has since grown over.

One of the boys, Mohammed, was killed last summer during the battle in the city of Falluja, west of Baghdad, he said, recounting how the other children wept upon learning the news.

A few weeks before the Mosul offensive began, Islamic State canceled lessons and sent the boys to guard an airfield near Tel Afar which pro-government forces later seized, he said.

"I told them, 'If you see the army, drop your weapons and tell them you are orphans. Maybe they will spare your lives'".

We Will Field Robert Mugabe's Corpse For Election

Zimbabwe first lady Grace Mugabe yesterday brewed a shocker when she suggested that even if a dead President Robert Mugabe's corpse is put on the ballot paper, people will still vote for him.

Grace made the stunning claim while addressing thousands of ZANU PF supporters at St John's Primary School in Buhera, where she blasted unnamed ZANU PF bigwigs for allegedly plotting to dislodge her husband from power.

The first lady has in the past made numerous controversial suggestions regarding Mugabe's 37 year rule and at one point claiming Mugabe who turns 83 next week, will rule Zimbabwe from the grave or from a wheelchair.

She said Mugabe was one of ZANU PF's biggest strengths.

Our first strength is in President Mugabe. Even if we go anywhere people will respect him," she said, adding even children were aware of his  "importance".

Grace said it was surprising to hear people saying she must tell Mugabe to leave office.

"You hear people accusing me of still wanting to continue as the first Lady of this nation, saying that is why I don't want to tell the President to retire. I am not the only one who voted for him.

"Only a fool will say that. We will field a candidate of a corpse on the ballot if God takes Mugabe and people will vote for him just to show how much the President is loves," she said amid thunderous applause from the ZANU PF supporters.

Grace added: " Let's wait for God's time when He decides that Mugabe should stop and then we enter tinto the race.

But one thing you must not forget is that if you don't have Mugabe's support it will be difficult for you."

Gov El-Rufai Orders The Arrest Of @Audu Maikori

Audu Maikori, lawyer and Nigerian music industry mogul, has been arrested by the Nigeria Police Force. The arrest is believed to be on the orders of Kaduna Governor, Nasir El Rufai.

According to information available to The Trent, the boss of Chocolate City, was picked up in Lagos, on Friday [February 17, 2017], where he lives and flown to the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

The governor ordered his arrest following advocacy that Maikori, a native of Southern Kaduna, had been active online over the systematic killing of his people by the Islamist terrorist group, the Fulani herdsmen militia.

Human rights activists are working at the moment to secure Maikori’s release.

This is a developing story. We will bring you more updates as they come in.

Court of Appeal Affirms Ali Modu Sheriff as Chairman of PDP

The Court of Appeal in Port Harcourt on Thursday affirmed former governor of Borno state, Ali Modu Sheriff, has the authentic national chairman of the party of the PDP.

It was gathered that the three judges of the court in a unanimous decision agreed that the Ali Modu Sheriff is the chairman of the PDP.

It will be recalled that an appeal court in Abuja had on December 16, 2016, adjourned indefinitely, the separate hearing in the leadership tussle so as to pave way for the Port Harcourt division of the court to exhaust the case before it.

Senators Ahmed Makarfi and Ali Modu Sheriff have tested their legal muscles through various litigations in many courts in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt, with each getting favourable orders and directives with the attendant effect on stability in the party.

Chieftains of the party from the two sides had at various fora expressed readiness to abide by the outcome of the appeal court verdict with a view to bringing lasting peace in the party.

A Federal High Court in Port Harcourt had last year gave legitimacy to Makarfi as the chairman of the party, while another court of coordinate jurisdiction in Abuja, headed by Justice Okon Abang, had ruled that Sheriff should be recognised as the chairman.

Nigeria Loses Up To $100 Billion in Revenue as Attacks Cut Oil

Emmanuel Kachikwu the minister of state for petroleum, said on Tuesday in a video-clip on his Facebook page that Nigeria lost out on as much as $100 billion in revenue last year as attacks by militants in the oil-rich Niger Delta cut crude output to a record low.

Production fell by 1 million barrels a day to 1.2 million a day at the peak of the attacks.

Last year, Nigeria suffered its first full-year recession since 1991 as a resurgence of armed conflict in the delta, combined with lower oil prices, blighted the economy. While recent peace efforts have curbed the frequency of attacks on oil infrastructure, the West African nation has struggled to boost output as one of its largest export terminals remains closed.

“We continue to engage,” Kachikwu said, referring to peace talks between the government and local leaders from the delta. “It is a difficult undertaking to try to embark on trying to resolve it once and for all, but we’re very bullish about this.”

A Corper Brags About Sleeping and Drinking With His Students

A youth corper named Gbadamosi Mayowa who happens to be a graduate of FUTA serving in Edo state bode his time on Instagram to brag about sleeping with his female pupils in his place of primary assignment.

He posted his sexual exploits among the female students and he took his time as well as express his notorious alcohol drinking habits with the male students.

It's very disheartening what the Nigerian graduates are fast becoming.

A Humane Proposal For Buhari: Resign By Okey Ndibe

There’s a chance that President Muhammadu Buhari would have come back to Nigeria by the time you read this column, but the fact that he had twice postponed his return date encourages one conclusion: that the man is really, really sick. So here’s a humane proposal for the president: consider handing in your resignation letter.

I'm aware that some Nigerians still consider Mr. Buhari essential, if not indispensable, to our country’s prospect of rebirth. To these, a suggestion that the man ought to quit office must sound heretical—indeed seem like a prescription with a dollop of ghastly mischief. But such people are grandly deluded. Concrete ideas, not the cult of any particular personality, are best for a polity in need of ethical rejuvenation. And two years of Mr. Buhari’s tenure as president are adequate to demonstrate his paucity of ideas.

In place of robust and organic ideas for transforming Nigeria, he has merely offered us the pabulum that his reputation and goodwill are enough.

That idea, of the transformative power of President Buhari’s supposed moral gravitas, is hollow. What significant transformation have Nigerians witnessed, in any sector of their life, in the two years of Buhari’s presidency? The so-called war on corruption, Mr. Buhari’s best calling card, has failed to achieve the conviction of one significant political figure from the recent past.

After all the public drama of Dasukigate, what is the status of the case against former National Security Adviser Sambo Dasuki? If Mr. Buhari’s government has not been able to prosecute Mr. Dasuki to date, is there much hope of his administration making a noticeable dent in the war against corruption via prosecutorial means? I don’t think so.

Worse, Mr. Buhari’s much-vaunted crusade against graft has neither dampened nor discouraged the appetite for corruption in Nigeria. Police and customs officers still farm out on the road and extort bribes from hapless commuters and traders. Under Mr. Buhari’s watch, the Central Bank of Nigeria and other agencies corruptly handed out jobs to children and wards of the most privileged. Elections are still fraught with fraud, with the police and army rolled out to serve the ruling party’s partisan interests. Judicial processes operate at snail-speed; lawyers and judges collude in using incessant adjournments to derail justice. Mr. Buhari has done little more than yawn when political appointees close to him have been accused of corrupt acts.

If the Buhari brand ever represented antipathy to corruption, that image is now profoundly tarnished. At its core, corruption in Nigeria remains as vibrant and resilient as ever. If there’s a scaling back in levels of embezzlement, it owes less to the Buhari effect than to the significant decline in oil revenues.

As I have argued before, a government that disdains judicial orders, that turns the military on unarmed civilians, whether Shiites or Biafran agitators, is engaged in egregious acts of corruption.

The case for President Buhari’s resignation is unassailable. Any seriously sick president deserves the time and space to focus on his health. He can hardly do so while shouldering the burden of running a complex and beleaguered country. Besides, Nigeria is beset by grave crises that appear to worsen by the day. Nigerians deserve a leader at the height of mental and physical fitness, a president endowed with the agility and energy to wrestle with his country’s deep-rooted problems.

The trouble is not just that Mr. Buhari is enfeebled by age and illness. The greater issue is that he presides over a country that is manifestly sicker than he. The idea that an ailing man can effectively mind the business of a more seriously sick country is, quite simply, absurd. Should anybody doubt the graveness of Nigeria’s sickness, the fact of President Buhari’s prolonged medical trip to Britain should settle the matter.

Consider the facts for a moment. Mr. Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, their families and all employees at Aso Rock enjoy the most generously funded health facility within the Nigerian space. On February 2, 2016, Premium Times reported that the Presidency’s clinic “will get N787 million more in capital allocation than all the 16 teaching hospitals combined.”

According to the report, the “State House Medical Center is a facility that provides healthcare for President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, their families and other employees of the Presidency, all possibly less than a thousand.

“Federal teaching hospitals cater for the heath needs of millions of Nigerians, train medical doctors and other health professionals for the nation while also serving as top medical research centers.

“A breakdown of the 2016 Appropriation Bill shows that a total of N3.87 billion has been allocated for capital projects at the State House Clinic.” That allocation, I emphasize, exceeded the budget for the country’s 16 teaching hospitals.

In June 2016, Mr. Buhari hopped off to Britain to be treated for an ear infection. On this, his latest medical excursion to London, neither he nor his aides specified the nature of his malaise. Instead, his trip was portrayed as a vacation during which the president was to undergo “routine medical checkup.” Mr. Buhari wrote to tell the Senate, in foggy phraseology, that he was extending his stay in the UK “until the doctors are satisfied that certain factors are ruled out.

The doleful implication should not be lost on anyone. The best-funded clinic in Nigeria does not suffice to treat the president’s ear infection. Nor does the president have enough confidence in the same clinic to do his “routine checkups” there. Imagine, then, the fate of Nigerians who have no choice, but must seek treatment at the ill-equipped, wretchedly funded hospitals in our country. Are these Nigerians not simply woebegone, bereft of hope?

Let’s be fair: President Buhari is no sole author of the mess that is Nigeria. But let’s be honest: he has contributed, quite richly, to the creation of that mess. He has been a player as a military and civilian ruler. There is no evidence in his public career that he paid attention to bringing about a sound healthcare system for Nigerians. Instead, he has been content to travel to the UK for the kind of healthcare that he and his fellow cast of misrulers should have envisioned for all Nigerians.

The management of a country’s affairs should never be a part-time task. Even the most stable and developed nations require vigilant leadership. Nigeria, with its broken educational system, non-existent healthcare policy, terrible roads, shameful power supply etc, can ill afford a leader who, frequently, must choose between attending to his private headache or his country’s.

It makes eminent sense that Mr. Buhari resign in order to look after his frail health. Nigeria should be in the hands of a leader who shows no sign of physical or mental debilitation.

If this would serve as encouragement to do the right thing, I’d support giving Mr. Buhari a gift that he—like other former rulers of Nigeria—has not earned. I would propose that the Nigerian people continue to pick up his healthcare bills after his resignation. But acting President Osinbajo should begin, immediately, to outline a viable healthcare system for Nigerians. It should be designed for humans, a humane replacement for the current morass whereby Nigerians see hospitals as hopeless locations where they are condemned to suffer and die needlessly.

Nokia Plans to Rebrand the Classic 3310 Phone

Nokia 3310 cellphone, that beautiful brick everyone had in 2001 - could make a comeback after undergoing a re-invention, it has been revealed.

But what the new features are remains a mystery. The remake looks promising though, as Nokia has posted twice on Facebook in the last day, referring to the 3310.

It's rumoured the new 3310 will have the nearly indestructible build and epic battery life just like its ancestor, but with the brains of a modern smartphone.

They'll be sold for 59 euros (NZ$87), reports say. That's a small price to pay for fans of the original snake game.

Nokia struggled in the smartphone market and was eventually bought by Microsoft. Since then it has found a niche in making new versions of its old phones that were so popular in the cellphone revolution at the turn of the century.

Trump-Buhari Valentine Call and What Inference to Draw

Let's assume Trump spoke with Buhari yesterday as we were made to believe and let's assess his performance as commander in chief and someone Nigeria employed to take care of the nation.

1. Mr. President assured Nigerians during the campaign that no more foreign medical trips but as soon as he won the elections, the medical trips started.

2. The request for this particular vacation to the NASS was for 10 days but Mr. President was out of the country before the date requested. (What kind of example does that show other public officers)

3. Mr. Femi Adesina said Mr President is on vacation but will do medicals while on vacation and not otherwise.  He insisted he's hale and hearty. Let's believe him please.

4. Gov Amosun and Alh Atiku visited him in UK. Amosun was shown eating with Mr President and he appeared truly hale and hearty. Let's assume Amosun truly left his work in Ogun to go and jolly-jolly with the man on official vacation.

5. Mr President requested for indefinite extension of his vacation to confirm his medical tests. Let's assume it was a vacation and not medical trip?

6. Then it was Asiwaju Tinubu and Chief Akande's turn to mark register in London. Mr. President again in same vacation uniform was hale and hearty. Let's assume the report of Tinubu disclaiming the London trip was false.

7. Nigerians went to the Nigeria House in London to request for Mr President's address but no show. Let's assume he was in the House as earlier claimed by Presidency.

8. There was serious tension in the country due to the planned nationwide protest by TuFace, yet Mr. Femi Adesina said no one can force Mr. President to speak to Nigerians.

9. The Acting President insisted that Mr. President is hale and hearty. Let's believe him.

10. Then President Trump spoke with Nigeria President that's on medical vacation and Buhari demonstrated to Trump that he's truly hale and hearty.

My conclusion
It's either Muhammad Buhari has gone AWOL from Presidency; that is, he's fed up of being the President of Nigeria because the solutions are beyond him, so he ran away or his media team are just hiding the truth about Mr President, so that they can collect a few more salaries before being evicted from Aso Rock and they have unwittingly portrayed Buhari as the most irresponsible President Nigeria ever had. The President that's hale and hearty but refuses to attend to national issues, refuses to address his people but  remains in Oyinbo land eating, hosting guests and speaking with western leaders on phone.

APC goons, over to you; what a President you've given Nigerians?

... and by their fruits, we shall know them.

Good night friends.

The popular ponzi scheme, Mavrodi Mondial Moneybox, MMM, has appealed to participants whose Get Help order, GH, has not been matched to be patient, saying it is working towards matching their orders.

This is coming at a time when the money doubling scheme assured its participants that all limits for Mavro acquired in 2017 have been lifted, while those acquired in 2016 remain under restriction. Members were asked to provide help in 2017 which will enable them get their 2016 mavros faster.

Following recent guilders meeting, the money doubling scheme has released further updates on the issue of GH Order.

The update reads;

“You can withdraw mavro 2016 but it’s still under limits. Limits for 2016 going higher depends on how MMM participants handle things at this stage.

“Mavro 2016 will remain frozen and will be unfrozen for only those doing promo tasks. With promo tasks MMM will be able to get new participants and new PH and let us pay people their money. Promo task contests will be launched this week and rewards will be given.

“If you PH 10% you will get 10% of your mavro 2016, if you PH 100% you will get 100% of Mavro 2016.

Programmers are working to ensure that GH will no longer exceed PH but it will take some time to implement it.

“Give your suggestions on how promo tasks can be used to get limits off mavro 2016. All suggestions will be reviewed.

“Guiders are duty bound to hold seminars and share screenshots of people paying to encourage others. If you are not active, your guider status will be taken away.

“GH orders will be matched. Be patient.”

Trump and Buhari Phone Call; Mixed Reactions

When news filtered in on Monday afternoon that the new American President Donald Trump will be speaking with our own president Buhari by 3:45pm local time and Zuma of South Africa at another time on the same day. The internet immediately went agog with a wide range of reactions of the possibility of the action taking place.

This is all due to the state of health of our Mr President. President Buhari who left the the shore of the country for medical vacation in the United Kingdom over his deteriorating illness which was supposed to be a 10 days leave but has spanned to 3 weeks now, but at some point the rumor mills reported he was dead, the President’s ill health is being shrouded in secrecy by the power cabal in Aso Rock, with no clear date to when the President will return back to the country.

Donald Trump who is well known for speaking to the world through his Twitter handle @RealDonaldTrump, however is yet to make any comment. Nigerians out of their curiosity, experience of Propaganda with Buhari and his media aides, were eager to see President Trump tweet about the phone call for confirmation but he never did.

However, different narratives and opinions have been floating around since the news came up from the SAs who maintained their stance that there was truly a conversation between the pair. Some sections are of the opinion that there were no phone conversations between the two, while some believed that the American Embassy didn't make any fuss about the phone conversation while others were of the disbelieve because the only source of the news was from the Buhari Media Center popularly known for huge propaganda.

Nigerians were surprised that not even the American Embassy hosted the information on their website or make any publicity about it. No big international media could confirm the news except few ones who relied on the information from the Buhari’s media Center.

Some even marvel at the procedures involved that since the president handed over power to the vice president, Yemi Osinbajo as acting president, the responsibility bestowed on him automatically grants him the right to receive the call from the American president.

Many others have also express their disappointment at the president that he can hurriedly speak with Trump yet he has has not deemed it fit to speak with his teeming country men with regard to his whereabout and state of health.

However the case may be, we wish him a safe return to his motherland.

Happy Valentine!

Donald Trump to Speak With President Buhari Today

The American president Donald Trump will today be making a scheduled phone call to the Nigerian and South African presidents.

This report is coming exclusively from Geoffrey York, an African correspondent for The Globe and Mail; who happens to be based in Johannesburg but travels around Africa.

According to him today is "African day" for Donald Trump and he will have phone conversations with president Buhari at around 3:45pm (Nigerian time) and around 5:10pm with president Jacob Zuma of South Africa.

He also emphasized the importance of the phone call for Nigerians and how fascinating the outcome will turn out to be as president Buhari has been absent on vacation for about 3 weeks already, mainly due to his state of health which has been clandestinely manoeuvred by his media aids.

That Andrew Yakubu by Charly Boy (AreaFada)

The other day, I was in the midst of those I thought were reasonable people - a small group of lawyers, engineers and realtors or real estate guys, and as usual, the topic of conversation was our dear country Nigeria. Then someone said, "Abegi President Buhari should bring back our corruption," and to my surprise, everyone was laughing. I missed the joke, but I could swear the speaker was expressing the sentiment of the people I was with who were engulfed in a mumu laughter.

Who in Nigeria wey go say him no know say corruption na 99% of our wahala? Abeg why e be say na so so mumu mumu people full dis country? How can anybody govern a people who celebrate corruption the way we do and then cry foul when the damage is done, as though they had no idea where it came from? Kai, weytin be our problem Sef!

Walahitalai, even Jesus cannot govern a country wey still dey celebrate a president who presided over nothing but the wanton pilfering of its resources. And some Mumu Nigerians go dey wish make him come back to power. Na wa o.

Most people for Naija dey Craze. We dey Sick. And many of us dey Mental. I am sure you must have heard/read about the former NNPC Boss, Andrew Yakubu, who typifies what is damaging the Nigerian brand. Of course there are many Yakubus in Nigeria, even in my village of Oguta. The evil in the hearts of these men and women who are mindless and mean is for sure the bedrock of our recession; unemployment; suffering; hunger and infrastructural decay as billions and trillions of our monies are often pocketed by political criminals.

In the space of two years, see how much of our looted money was recouped by the government of President Muhammadu Buhari:

$153 million = Diezani Allison Madueke;
$15 million = Patience Jonathan;
N4billion = NIMASA boss Patrick Akpobolokemi
Heartbreaking N1trillion = Ex-Service chiefs
N111million = INEC Staff
$9.8 million & £74,000 = Andrew Yakubu
4.7bn arms fund = Obanikoro/Fayose
N11.7 billion mansion built by Deziani in Banana Island, Lagos.
Haba! Haba!! Haba!!! Is this a stealing competition?

But Andrew Yakubu own vex me die. Look at the clandestine place that $9.8m and another £74, 000 was found! Who would have thought there was such magnitude of national treasure there? See ehn, this stunning discovery by the EFCC makes me wonder how a soulless criminal of Andrew Yakubu's ilk could have received $10million in cash as gift - as claimed by him - and how much gift would have been given to many other thieves, evil peoples and demons who had over the last decade, dotted our government. Oh... Where is my gun? I dey seriously feel like shooting somebody! In the end, common man go die by jungle justice ooo.

My people, I no dey fit sleep again. I no fit comprehend how a human being go thief him generation money come go church go do thanksgiving. The supposed Man of God who is his pastor is a bastard and that church is a fraud; in fact, the God to whom they pray sef Na LIE. Nigerians must rise up and in unison fight this corruption, because if we fail today, this our suffering no go end o... and many of us go die for nothing. Our failure as a country is our fault as a people. Andrew Yakubu dey for every family for Naija. You wan get money but you no wan work. Looking for miracles in churches and mosques. If we fail to work, we can only steal to survive and that is where the change must begin - with us all. A country where people spend more time on their knees more than they do on their job will not stand; a country where the mind of the people has been buried in the erroneous mentality of getting rich only by praying; daily spiritual diet; where men of God openly fraternize with certified and indicted thieves and drool over their loot - is  a country on its way to hell. My people, let us become a people who work so that we can collectively fight and fix this country. This madness of looters no go stop if our miracle-stricken mindset no change.

I hear say government dey give whistleblowers 5%, good. As the President of Frustrated Nigerians, I go ginger anybody wey know any government worker or politician wey dey hide money, for this our jungle. No fear, stand up because me go fight your fight. I am willing to provide further support for those who are afraid and I am willing to stand and fight to ensure that nobody go intimidate you - whether na the looters or agencies of government wey wan dey act funny. I cannot stand back and watch my country, my Naija, my home get looted to the point of monumental destructiveness while those who are capable of helping the government recover loots for the benefit of us all are intimidated by FEAR of DEATH. All man go die nonetheless and e fit be anytime.

I am prepared to lead a national revolution against corruption and in support of President Muhammadu Buhari's anti-corruption war. I will go to meet with the EFCC boss, the ICPC boss, the police boss and all those who are trying to give this country renewed hope. Very soon the voice of ordinary Nigerians will be so loud that the interest of the frustrated Nigerians will be a national priority. For decades, I have never heard thieves return so much money back to the system. And for this reason alone, I go clap small for President Muhammadu Buhari. As the President of All Frustrated Nigerians, I enjoin all of us to shine our eyes and act right so we no go take our hand decimate what is left of our land. This mindless stealing and looting is just too much. Na God go punish bad people.
